<div>Hi - We are in the process of furnishing our living room. We decided on the chairs and sofa before the tables (which we are picking now), and it occured to me that I have no idea whether there is a "proper" height for a side table. Should be it shorter/equal/taller than the arms of hte seat next to which it sits? Is it just a matter of taste or is there a generally known guideline for this? Any help would be appreciated!
