crazy about metallic paint

I bought some silver metallic paint recently to use on a piece of refinished furniture, and the results are fantastic. It looks incredibly stylish, and the best part is that it's a "neutral" of sorts, so it goes with everything. And so far, it seems as if it will wear well --actually, having certain areas wear down makes the finish look better. I used a synthetic brush, which seems to make it easier to get an even coat, and I kept adding coats until I arrived at an opacity that I like. I can't recommend it enough.

Metallic paint is great in certain situations.  We recently painted an art studio floor with silver metallic.  We were concerned it might be to bright but it ended up being a great complement to the white walls and it hides dirt well.

Who knew that metallic colors would look good. I must try this sometime.
